#Custom model won't print with Orca - Object has floating regions
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
It sounds like your issue may be with the slicing software Orca. The error message about floating regions likely means that the software is detecting some parts of the model that are not properly connected to the main structure. This could be due to errors in the mesh or other issues with the model.
I recommend checking the model in a 3D modeling software to ensure that all parts are properly connected and there are no holes or gaps. You can also try running the model through a repair tool like MeshMixer to fix any potential issues.
Unfortunately, as I am not able to view the attached files, I am unable to provide a more specific solution. Please try the suggested steps and see if it helps resolve the problem. If you continue to have issues, you may want to reach out to the Orca support team for further assistance.
I've tried repairing both models with Orca with no change.
I've tried remeshing in blender, then reducing polygon count to make them smaller files, with no change.
And I've tried repairing in MS 3D Viewer, with no change.
So the warning is more or less just "Enable supports if it prints bad"
After restarting my PC and printer, it does warn me again, but this time it prints
Strange
Well, I'll go ahead and delete this thread since it prints alright for you, and for me now.
Thanks for your help!
