#Attaching Skinny Parts Together
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
You can try designing alignment features and slots so that the separate sections can easily fit together like a puzzle. This will help ensure that they align correctly and securely attach to one another. Another option is to use adhesive such as super glue or epoxy to bond the sections together after printing. Make sure to test your design and assembly process on a smaller scale before printing the full-sized model. Good luck!
• Printer make and model: Ender3V2
• Any Mods: Nope
• Firmware: Idek
• Filament material and temps: PLA
• Slicer: I use Cura
• Any recent changes: Nah
• What have you tried so far: I tried just printing it in three parts and taping it but it didnt look good. Also tried superglue but it didnt hold. I would just have it flush with the wall with 3m tape or something but id prefer it to be about a quarter inch off the wall so the peice has to be kinda strong

Typically when I try to connect parts together I use snap connections, but that wouldn't really be possible on something skinny like this. Your best bet would be... glue honestly.
