If you only have the G-code file, you can use a G-code editor software to edit the starting point of the print. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open the G-code file in a G-code editor of your choice. There are several free ones available online such as Notepad++ or Atom.

  2. Look for the section of the G-code that contains the starting point of the print. It will usually contain a command like "G1" followed by the X, Y, and Z coordinates.

  3. Edit the Z-coordinate value to 83mm, which is where you want the print to start.

  4. Save the edited G-code file with a new file name, so you don't alter the original file.

  5. Load the edited G-code file into your 3D printer and start the print. The printer should now start the print at the new starting point you specified.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

I think hat the ai suggested would just lead to the entire object being printed from 83mm height

I believe you have to count layers and pray to god you don't move it around or miscount and then remove the printed layers from the gcode while also setting z start value to 83mm
