Saw someone else post their pin support challenge, I raise you mine.

#

(video is sped up)

How did you get yours to move up so slowly? Mine just shot up like a rocket and the extruder couldn’t keep up

merry holly
#

How are you slicing the pin support?

#

Via the website right?

somber thistle
#

Yeah

#

I’m printing on my Kobra so I’m using Ender 3 settings

merry holly
#

It's supposed to slow your nozzle down in the gcode

somber thistle
#

Huh

merry holly
#

Yeah, it's supposed to be waaaaay slower

#

My video is like 15x speed

#

And that is still slower than yours

somber thistle
#

Wow. Like way slower

merry holly
#

It takes about 15min to print

#

You just speed it up because no one is gonna sit through 15 min of a nozzle slooooowly rising up

somber thistle
#

Yeah makes sense

#

I posted my only semi success before you and that only took 11min total

#

So I must be doing something wrong

merry holly
#

You're going too fast I think, make sure the slicer on the website is set to it's default values for speed settings

#

Unless you can set your flow to about 8000%

somber thistle
#

Yeah that would be pretty crazy

merry holly
#

Oh, don't forget fan speed 8000% as well

somber thistle
#

Heh yeah

merry holly
#

You gotta print it as slow as possible and with maximum fan speed if you want a chance

somber thistle
#

This is my 11min. Looks pretty bad because the post did print at that speed

#

Only I changed the settings to 3mm thick and ribbed so it went down occasionally

#

I’ll have to go through my settings and make sure everything is in order

#

I appreciate the help

merry holly
#

I think 1mm/s would be too fast for the pin, just to put that in reference for how slow it is

#

You can barely tell it's moving unless you sit there and watch it for a few seconds

Full control has the pillar speed at 10mm/min default but I changed it 1mm/min. It must have not taken effect
