@rich lantern You wanted more failures, here is what a Y stepper motor overheating looks like. Also beware other 3v2 users, the 4.2.2 board has a overheating problem and might just die like this

ooof, that's a good one. and IIRC the 4.2.2 has no UART control so you would need to change vref and hope it helps?
