  1. I have german keyboard layout (which works fine) and on the wooting.io webbase software it shows me the english layout instead. It also doesnt find buttons like "ü" which I then cant map.
  2. I want to remap all the keys, especially things like "alt+q" should give me "(". Is that possible? So far I only see "Function level" which is about the FN key. This is really important to me because I have my own custom layout and I thought I can change it with the software. This would be a dealbreaker for me.

Are you using Brave with Shields enabled for Wootility? That can prevent it from recognizing your language settings

Pretty sure what modifier keys produce is defined in the keyboard layout. Wootility can't change that. All remapping does is redefine which key is sent to the OS. If that key is defined as Ä or Z is entirely the layouts decision then

Exactly. Wootility just shows a reflection of what your OS dictates.

The keyboard language you choose in the OS is which keys you have available. The keyboards sends raw keycodes like "key55 pressed", and your OS goes "key55 in this language should be # "
