hey guys, regarding wootility web.using wooting 80he tenz edition. whenever i close the browser/reset my pc or open the wootility desktop app , I check the rapid trigger section, and the rapid trigger sensitivity turns itself on....and i save it to be off. anybody else having the same issue? it's saved to my ACTIVE profiles, and its actaully been like that for quite some time now, and i just decided to post about it because i thought i would wait for the next big wootility update in the hopes that it would fix it, but it didn't.

Can you post a screenshot or a video of rapid trigger section in Wootility?
the picture on the left is what i would like to keep saved, and the picture on the right is what happens
hopefully that's enough to give any ideas? ;o
So you turn off separate press/release sensitivity setting, save to keyboard and it stays enabled after Wootility restart?
If i close the browser/restart the pc, then when i open wootility it shows what's displayed on the picture on the right even though i have it saved as what's showed on the left . also happens if i open the wootility desktop app, it will show the picture on the right in the desktop app, and if ill turn it off and save it, then open the wootility browser, it will happen again and show whats on the picture to the right and vice versa
Does this happen on different profile?
so far it looks like it only happens on the main profile, the one assigned to the first slot
Maybe that profile is bugged somehow. Try creating a new profile, then move it to the first slot and see if it happens again after the Wootility restart.
i just did. i tried duplicating that profile, move the "bugged" one to the inactive profiles and use the new one as main, and it still happens
it still happens. and now something even worse happened. a new bug
when i press the "mode" button, my second profile became bugged or something. it wouldn't switch to it, and if i click on it manually, then some keys wont work!
what is this?! please help!!
Go in Remap section and press Default
thanks, that seemed to fix it
Not sure what could be causing the rapid trigger settings to reset. Do you have SignalRGB or any other RGB software running in the background?
no RGB software.
also, the FN function doesn't work with my typing profile after i did the default remap keys. I enabled revamp keys and its working now
do you have any idea what caused my typing profile to become bugged and some keys become unusable? to make sure ill avoid it in the future
Usually missing keys is caused by importing 60HE profile
weird...i didnt even import anything. but now that you mention it, it does look likej most of the bugged keys are the ones missing from the wooting 60he (though some aren't, like the enter, back button etc)
not sure whats happening, is it possible myt keyboard is defective? 🙁
that seems weird, tho I don't think the keyboard got any issue. Would you be able testing the keyboard on another device?
i dont have any other computer to test it on
any laptop? mac?
nope T_T
im guessing theree is nothing that can be done? after what happened with my typing profile , im scared to even try and do anything in wootility that involves adding or modifying profiles.
are you using the downloaded version or the web app?
the web app.
i downloaded the desktop app to check if it will fix anything, but it doesn't
I need to sleep so may not reply for awhile but could you a temp to change other settings
For example the keyboard RGB to red
Then hit save to keyboard and reconnect the device and see if it still shows red?
For reference the keyboard has temporary memory that lets you alter settings but will not save
Until you hit save to keyboard
I think there may be an issue uploading information to the more permanent memory
hey andrew, thank you for checking in. it appears to be saving it correclty. the only thing that bugs out is the rapid trigger section..i also tried checking the actaution point section and change to random stuff, it all works fine
hmmm...
could you submit a ticket also preform the test provide the logs could help (may be an issue with memory sector)
Open the application verison of wootility
-
Go to "Help:
-
open "open error log"
3, Delete the "main.log file" (so we have a new/clean version) -
Attempt to make change to rapid trigger (only)
-
Hit save to keyboard
-
attempt this 3 times (for references point)
-
Make changes to the RGB settings
-
Hit save to keyboard
-
attempt this 3 times (for references point)
-
Attach the main.log to the ticket
would it be possible to change an actuation point instead of an rgb setting? also, its worth mentioning that if ill only use the desktop app WITHOUT opening the browser app, then it will be fine. the bug will happen if ill save settings to the desktop app and then open the web app, and vice versa
can you check what the browser and app version it is (this is found on the bottom left)
i think there may be a mismatch
it happened quite some time ago, i decided not to post about it and wait for the latest big update to see if it would get fixed, but it didn't. they are both updated to the latest big update with the switch selector
and the bug happened even before i installed the desktop app. if i just reset the web browser or pc, it will happen regardless if i even open the desktop app
V5.3.0
also, if i open the desktop app, whenever it shows that rapid trigger sensitivity is turned on, if i wont disable it and save it to the keyboard and open the wootility web app, then it will remain off
if i do disable and save it in the desktop app and re-open the wootlity web app, then it will turn itself on again.
but as mentioned, even if i dont use the desktop app at all and just close the web browser/restart the pc, this issue will still happen in the wootility web app
So a bit confused in this case, as if both are the same version of Wootility they should react the same and send information to the keyboard the same, so not sure why there is a discrepancy (if both are running at the same time and connected, I could see a potential conflict)
Any chance you have Wooting Background Services installed? If so, could you try to disable this?
i do have the background service installed, yeah
how do i disable it?
just uncheck all the boxes?
on the bottem right (task bar) you can click the icon and click disbale
hmm, i dont see that option
i have the option to quit, not disable
in that case you can disable in task manger
ohh in that case i remembered the option wrong
ill do a quick check now that its disabled
it still happens...
in that case best to try saving the settings a few times with app (just to see if any issue in the log files)
can i change like 1 actuation point setting and disable/enable rapid trigger sensitivity for it to work?
i'd rather not touch the rgb section if possible
sure the RGB point was just an example of a setting that did not have trouble (a baseline) between good/bad
Open the application verison of wootility
Go to "Help:
open "open error log"
3, Delete the "main.log file" (so we have a new/clean version)
Attempt to make change to rapid trigger (only)
Hit save to keyboard
attempt this 3 times (for references point)
Make changes to the settings that you know will take effect
Hit save to keyboard
attempt this 3 times (for references point)
awesome. so just to make sure i got it right, change to rapid trigger, meaning disabling and enabling the sensitvity settings 3 times, and then do 3 different changes to the actuation point settings?
Yes please
got it. ill do it later on, gotta head out for a bit. thanks andrew!
hey andrew. so there are 2 files in that folder. main, and main.old. which one is it? or should i just delte both?. i dont see a main.log file
both
ok, hopefully i did it right. can i pm you the file?
sure
