#60HE typing lag randomly?

Has anybody dealt with this before? As I am typing, sometimes its as if the keys aren't working at all, but after 2 or 3 seconds, all the keystrokes appear.

This happens to me at least 8 times a day. Whether its typing (literally typing out this discord post and it has happend) or playing games it happens. In CS2 the symptoms are as if I am holding a button down, like A, for 2-3 seconds and then the inputs stop.

I tried a different USB port...no dice. Any idea what it could be? Firmware is up to date.

Are you using the included USB cable?

wheat dust
#

yes i am

#

I've had it since august 2022 and it has just started happening in the last few weeks

prime flame
#

Does it happen if you disable Tachyon mode?

wheat dust
#

i can try that and report back

#

is it good to have off anyway?

prime flame

If the issue doesn't occur without Tachyon mode, it could point to a power delivery problem. In that case, try using a different cable and USB port, preferably a direct port on your motherboard. Avoid using USB hub and KVM switch.

You could also try closing background applications (game anticheats, etc), as they might be causing interference. Also worth testing the keyboard on another device to rule out system specific issues.

thank you. I have reduced the LED to 70% and its still happening. Going to disable tachyon and see

wheat dust

still happens with tachyon off and led down to 70% @prime flame

To determine whether the issue is caused by the keyboard or your system, try importing this profile: 3b4ce7a62701f46be2ce8b0f6d30e671f5c2, then press some keys.

Are the keypresses delayed? The RGB effect will show green on key press and red on release.

#

Sorry, was the wrong code. Should be fixed now.

i have since upgraded to wootility 5, updated the firmware on the keyboard (thought it was updated), and imported a couple different profiles for fun to test out. Still happening.

Just did what you asked me to do. Are you asking if the keypresses are delayed in general? Because the issue happens sporadically

#

So for now, as i am typing, the LEDS arent delayed at all

#

But i havent gotten that issue yet

#

just changed to another usb port to see.

Keep an eye on the LEDs while using the RT-Display profile and pressing the keys. If the LEDs show no delay when pressing and releasing keys, but there's a delay on the system side, then the issue is likely with your PC.

Also, have you tried what I suggested earlier, using a different cable and USB port, and closing all background applications (including anti cheat and RGB software)? Can try booting into safe mode to see if the keypresses are still delayed there. Right click on start > open Run > msconfig > Boot > Turn on the safe mode.

Try unplugging all devices from your PC as well except the keyboard, since multiple USB devices can share the same USB controller and cause issues.

The problem is, it can happen twice in 5 mins....or not happen at all for an hour, so its very difficult to just unplug everything to see if that changes.

#

as of right now, as i am typing, there is no delay at all in the green and red RGB as i type.

I dont have another usb cord to try unfortunately, but i am using the stock one that comes with the keyboard.

I dont run any RGB software or any type of anti cheat either

#

i guess i will have to continue typing and wait for the issue to happen , and then keep eyes on the RGB to see if its delaying on the keyboard side or just the PC side

#

but that means i cant use my normal profile for playing games haha

Hey, may I ask if the issue happen at certain events? like when playing games, switching between tabs?

Any ideas? Or am I hooped lol.

When it happens, its 100% the keyboard lagging. Like my game or computer isn't frozen.

When it happens in CS2, for example the D key gets held down (when the lag happens) for about 2-3 seconds and I start walking to the left involuntarily.

Getting super annoying

It can be that the system isn't processing the inputs properly causing the delayed keypresses. Your game or computer might not freeze when this happens, so best to use the RT-Display RGB effect to find out if the issue is the keyboard or your system.

Weirdly enough I haven't seen it happen so far with this RT-DISPLAY profile selected. I will keep trying to make it happen while on this profile

wheat dust

Just happened!! finally @prime flame

#

The keyboard froze/lagged but the colors on the keyboard were registering properly

#

so what does this mean ?

neat ridge

That it's not the keyboard, but something on your computer

So far so good! @prime flame @neat ridge

Looks like it was either the msi center, or the disabled sleep settings link i sent
