Invincible discussion thread (spoilers)
@glad owl @spring scroll @trim berry (ill spoiler still in case someone I pings didn't watch) would you agree the || viltremites were very underwhelming/pathetic and the leader coddling his skull lol ||
There are only 50 of them remember
Nolan killed one with Allen
BattleBeast killed another
Conquest ded
Ye but they were so weak lol, before you would kinda not know what to expect from them but this ep they kept going down like flies lol
The scourge virus weakened them
Like that female one was op AF but this episode she was lame
I'm on about modern ones
It is why conquest is still missing a limb
Anytime they were on screen before it was very fear worthy
Because even the reminding ones were strong
Allen can hold a fight with the average ones
But this episode they went down like flies even from small things haha
Could he? Pretty sure most of his defeats were with backup.
He lost his eye earlier
I'm not really talking about numbers though, it's just before it felt like 1 could destroy everyone easily or with a bit of effort, however now it feels like all of them go down like flies
Ye cos of the gun tbf
They are probably afraid
True and same with conquest, however the girl one clearly wasn't in the past but this episode downgraded her
Also true, I suppose when you have normal people being attacked by vilts it feels very different to fights between vilts and not normal people
Battle Beast is not average
Not what I mean
Well, Mark was weak for a long time tbf
So it's easy to remember how long it took him
Anessa
Im saying when we've seen vilts before it was technically a person vs an ant but now that ever expanded the scale between allies out of space it becomes even between fights because above average vs super strong rather than human vs ants
So that's probably why I and some others feel this way
Like Oliver is probably going to feel less shit the next few eps after months of training.
Maybe but he still is weak
So I guess you will get to feel their power if he gets into combat
Oliver never really did stand up to conquest
I still think Mark wouldn't survive against his alternative mark
The one that crippled eve in his reality

I would argue otherwise
Mark probably shoulda died to conquest when he got his stomach punctured
The mark in that episode
Seems pretty robotic like nolan
Mark beat Conquest in his own way is what I mean
That's what makes him dangerous
And probably stronger than current mark
Well alright
Although mark crossing the line this season multiple times is definitely probably contributing to a strength increase
I would still say him acting human
Gave him more endurance that conquest via adrenaline
I think. that. it is too early to make judgement. they'll most def do more in the next 2 episodes. and the reason they're "underwhelming" is because obvious character growth and strength increase
if the viltrumites don't do shit the next 2 episodes well then fuck me ig

The collation has been loosing to them for centuries
Just recently after Allen got almost killed they got there second fighter who could stand against a viltrumitr
And then they got Nolan and his kids
Allen recruited battle beast
And Nolan recruits space racer
So the coalition went from 1 person who could kill a viltrumite, thaddeus, to almost 10
I just think calling the viltrum empire underwhelming after ONE episode and after EVERYTHING we saw them do and knowing what happened to them is really fucking stupid lmao
Also they haven't fought a even battle in a long long time
They have been barely maintaining the empire, not expanding
Nolans mission to make hybrids was a long shot desperation move
Yeah exactly
vilrumites are impressive, the empire is falling
Yeah you get it
I said it made them look it
Didn't necessarily say it was true in general
I'd say the issue lies more when the leader, he took a stupid risk and looks pretty stupid, especially when he's running away cradling a skull like its a teddy haha
Tbf you didn’t really say that exactly
Yeah I agree that was a bold move for thragg
He definitely could’ve gotten away with it if it weren’t for omni cuck and his pesky half viltrum boys!!!!!!
Definitely, it was looking pretty dire
But an old man vilt wasn't gonna be able to stop them alone.
He's probably rusty AF but still cool AF haha
Especially with half of his clothes disintegrated haha, kinda reminded me of the dude from avatar
Thragg is probably more like a last resort if I would have to guess with no prior knowledge of what happens in the comics
Or the guy from demon Slayer XD
Where he becomes muscle man when needed to fight but looks fragile all the time XD
Its def that skull
Also Peter Cullens voice is just to God damn iconic, it's like he's trying to not sound like Optimus Prime but you can't help hear Optimus XD
That shit is def gonna break and he’s gonna go ape shit aint no way
Its so obvious
Ye I suspect similar
I suspect he's kinda weak because his cradle obsession is holding him back.
And also trauma
Another thing is I never thought Nolan deserved forgiveness, still don't but he's making it difficult lol
This episode had some great dialogue form him
Yeah his obsession with trying to keep up the status of the viltrum empire will be his downfall
Literally had like 3 chances to stop their insane bullshit
In like the last thousand years
And they still keep at it
i mean he killed the emperor before defecting, the crack in the skull is from thaedus killing him.
I forgot that actually
granted it was an assination, not a battle, but argle was the strongest
FROM HERE ON OUT SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 7 SEASON 4 WILL BE DISCUSSED
Really like how when argall suggested to Thragg how he is allowed to kill Thaedus if he thinks he’s a hinderance after thaedus questions the Viltrum empire Thragg hesitates.
I’m still watching the episode lol
Got pretty excited to talk about it
I feel like that hesitation was that he believed some truth of what Thaedus was talking about
Dude I love how oliver says that no way thragg lives up to the hype, they’re calling out the fans super hard lmaoo
DUDE WHEN THRAGG DID THAT FLASH STEP BACK TO AVOID NOLANS ATTACK JUST TO SEND NOLAN DOWJ TO PLANET VILTRUM IN ONE HIT WAS CRAZY
WHAT WAS THAEDUS THINKING THERE IS NO WAY THEY BEAT THRAGG
Thragg also to Mark show me
Broo
And here's me saying they looked weak and pathetic last episode
Insane episode but I'm annoyed that AGAIN people keep surviving, it's hard to think anyone is actually dead in this show.
No no he’s still a loser at heart
Just a powerful loser now

Loser is a stretch….
He definitely is a Hypocrite
The petty shit he did for Argall after he died isn’t the viltrumite way
They aren’t the type of guys who would have emotional connections to eachother
If it was any other viltrumite it would’ve been “oh they’re weak they deserved to die”
That was so fucking cool
Was the Oppenheimer of animation
They need to hire more animators and vfx artists
The animation was pretty rough
The amount they have isnt enough for the small amount of time they get
Would not have happened without spaceracer
ummm are you sure about that
Exactly
||comic argall is the most emotional of them all xD||
They’re so opposed to it and reject the thought of it they deem anyone who shows that kind of level of emotion weak
Yet there is hypocrisy in the viltrum empire.
Why didn't they save a dart for him
Yet thragg chose not to kill Mark
Plot
thats a tragg thing not a argall thing
He should have been, he was told not to engage
Yeah makes sense. I have no idea about Argall era viltrum other than he was a big deal to thragg
They have too much plot armour
It's getting hard to be scared a character might die
It felt that way earlier in the show, not so much now
He was a big deal to everyone, even thadus
Bro was tossed aside
I mean yeah he ruled Viltrum, I’m just pointing out Thragg seems to clearly have an emotional connection to Argall
Thragg decapitated Thadeus easily
Thragg is the strongest of them all by a mile
Yet everyone else survives lol
he just had a shitty childhood XD
Even though they probably shouldn't have
||At least for now||
Yeah it’s unbelievable, I was expecting him to be powerful but not to this degree because kirkman hates power scaling
I don't wanna read this
If it's a comic spoiler
It isnt
If it's a TV one don't use the tag
Yeah I agree
yeah this is the tv spolier channel
Well I wanted to be careful is all
I very much appreciated this btw
Well I will just say this
No problem!
thragg still being out there makes him a threat
And that fact they disappeared
Is more worrisome
Given comics and show is not 1:1
Who knows what surprises await
Oblivion dialogue moment
SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 EPISODE 8 WILL BE DISCUSSED HERE ON OUT
Tbh
I dont have much words
It’s a really solid episode
From the beginning of the episode I knew there wasn’t gonna be some kind of satisfying ending and that it’d be a cliffhanger
Sad no invincible Wednesdays for a year :(
👀
Message from Thragg
decent ending in my opinion, loose ends tied up.
I NOTICED IT TOO LMAO
The moving debbie png isn’t real she can’t hurt you
I love how the Invincible fandom goes absolutely insane during the wait of inbetween seasons
