Something about tachyon mode is freaking out Valorant.

Eyo bros! Dunno what happened recently but today when I boot up my pc, it asked which device to boot from (weird, ik). I went into bios and noticed my kb was not detected (80HE). Once I switched from the tachyon profile to the normal typing one, I could use the keyboard in bios once more (aorus x570 ultra mobo). Didn t think much of it and took it as a minor inconvenience but tonight I boot up val and all hell broke loose once i switched back to the tachyon profile. Game windowing and maximizing out of control and everything was stuttering until I had to end task and try again. I also noticed that Shift, Control, Tab, Caps all did not work on the tachyon profile (the gaming optimized profile). Everything worked fine on the default typing profile, just not on any profile with tachyon mode enabled. I also need to mention I never had wooting background services on ever since the first setup and had no issue. I updated some analog sdk thingy in wootility but it did nothing. Now it could technically all work without tachyon mode enabled, but it's also a feature i've paid for and intend to make use of. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

would you mind try to use a different port on the backside of your pc? also even better would be if you can test it on another device?

I have been using it with the exact same OS, usb port, machine, everything for about a month before this randomly started happening. made no changes to my os. I have no other machine at hand to test this on, sadly. Changing the port does nothing either. I have already attempted it

really the most major change i ve done is install mk1 again and one of the ssd's is nearly full but that has been the case before and I do think that I've played a few days with this "change" already implemented and it all went as usual, no issues\

none are responding. everything feels delayed (inputs visibly delayed) and also I can t hold backspace in order to erase a message, I have to spam tap it. all gone back to normal once I switch profiles back

hmm, if you do this (save your profiles beforehand) does it change anything?

also I would like to know if it helps if you don't use your "gaming" profile and recreate it with tachyon and such.

it seems as if it s not sensing presses very well in tachyon mode. also seems like ctrl replaces shift's function for some reason. I already tried simply enabling tachyon in the default profile and it has the same behaviour

Save before hand as in like they already are saved...? Or is there something extra I need to do? I can switch between them with FN 1,2,3 etc with the software and background service not running. Do they count as saved then?

this is not acceptable behavior from a premium kb with this cost, however. I'm pretty disappointed that I even have to spend time troubleshooting. I appreciate your help, don't get me wrong. But why would this issue pop outta nowhere when everything was running just fine before

it's a good keyboard, well everything might make issues. It seems you are just unlucky

so you think it might be cable related? I am using a cable that came with an older hyperx kb

connected the original cable now and I plugged it into the usb C port on my mobo

seems to be working fine with rgb's at 70% now

ye most of these issues happen cuz a cable or port isn't able to provide enough power, test it out and let me know if you are fine now

I am using that adaptor for my IEMS, but it s no issue, I have an usb C port in the back that I m not using

I would like to re-open this thread. Tachyon mode is on illegal substances again

I booted up my pc today, forgot the gaming profile with tachyon mode on (my bad I guess wooting) and every windows start-up program began to ask for permission outta nowhere, cpu usage was at around 70% with barely anything running and I couldn't get programs to open or close, even task manager was lagging out. I was clicking on a program I have for streaming movies and shit (streamio) and I was trying to watch the new invincible episode and it kept opening up brave tabs that made no sense. Weirdest shit ever seen in the last what must be 10 years at least. Then I remember, there's one culprit that caused nonsense like this recently. I switch to the non-tachyon profile and behold, all is well again

I just started having this issue with the wooting v2 a few days ago, had it since release at start of December never was an issue now all of a sudden having the issue on valorant as well. I hit esc and it alt tabs me from the game, keyboards either not responding to keys being pressed or spamming keys on its own I'm not even touching, like I hear my agent saying my ultimates not ready constantly and then walking a direction on his own pulling out knife just random stuff, same as you basically sounds like. Have my own thread on the matter but nothing fixes it, only temporary fix then starts to happen within 30 min again seems like. Wanted to let you know you're not alone
