Bumping
No need to bump threads.
Sounds like a "debounce" issue where the switch vibrates or moves enough while pressed to cause an additional input.
You can try the tool below to see if this is occurring (it may appear as a spike when it reaches the end of the press)

Also, you can try enabling "debounce filter" in Settings → Keyboard Settings
and see if that helps
I didnt mean debounce issues
I meant the keypad itself physically bounces as in its very lightweight and it doesnt stay in one place while in use
Which is why i asked about the brass plate for weight
