Can you show the bottom of the keycap?
either
- a loose or cracked keycap stem
- the switch stem is to small (loose fit)
You can try swapping a nearby Keycap and put this on "W" location to cross check
If switch - the keyboard comes with a few spare
if keycap- reach out and we can send replacment
I had this issue before with another kb, it was the keycap to blame.
in most cases its the keycap but can't hurt to double check just incase
has a slight crack
Wait are these the original wooting keycaps?
Do wooting keycaps have these printed?
Do you have the original set of wooting keycaps? You could swap out WASD and call it a style choice
ahh so thoses are third party keycaps (not much we can do for these)
But at least you know why its happening now! If youre super attached to these keycaps you could always try to superglue the cracks while pinching them closed
Do make sure the glue is fully dry before putting it back onto the switch though, dont wanna chemically fuze them together lol
I changed the W key to E and it works.
Can I buy just a W keycap somewhere?
I dont think theres a place thatll sell one single labeled keycap... i would try fixing this one up before buying something new
Its already broken anyways, all you can do is improve it
i use a very thin piece of plastic and and push the stem in (add extra thicknes) But risky can crack stem further
I’ll give it a try, thank you all very much!
If I remember correctly, I chose the ISO German layout.
Yes but aren't the stock wooting keycaps, correct?
