So it seems like this is a common issue with Wooting (from searching the various threads here).

Seems like what you guys are calling Expedited Shipping a bit of a scam.

On your website, when you select 'expedited shipping' you clearly state the arrival date of the package, not when you will order/print the label.

I made the purchase on the 12th with expedited shipping (your website said it would arrive between 14-16th, NOT when you will print/order label and pack to ship).

I run a business where I ship numerous orders daily through various couriers including what you are using (USPS). You can scan with the kiosk or at the back with the handheld, or once the package is dropped off USPS will scan end of business day. It has been 3 days since label has been created and I was notified that item was 'shipped', but it clearly has not been shipped.

This is somewhat fradulent. You telling people that "it takes 24-72 hours to scan" is just not how shipping with USPS works. You guys are just ordering the label and charging people for expedited shipping when in reality you haven't even shipped out the item...and just blaming the "delay" on USPS.

USPS priority mail is 1-3 days and from Vegas to where I am. So in order for it to arrive by the 16th (today) it needed to be shipped Saturday. USPS opens until 3pm on Saturday nationwide, so you could've shipped it then.

You guys oughta explain properly on your website when you will:

  • Pack the order
  • Ship the order
  • Expected arrival date

Working with these couriers for close to a decade now, we'd have to disagree.

The packages are handed off to the couriers in bulk pallets on the day a tracking code is generated and sent to the customer.

We do not offer expedited shipping - the couriers do. We don't make a dime on an order where expedited is chosen, nor do we control the estimate timeframes provided by the couriers, shown on checkout.

Do exceptions happen? Of course. Around 10% of all packages shipped globally are expected to see some delay or other issue.

USPS does not offer expedited shipping. They offer Priority or Express. As a business when you tell people you are charging them for said service, it is YOUR responsibility to let them know when the package arrives at the courier then for the subsequent Priority or Express countdown to happen

where is my order right now? Is it still in your warehouse? It for sure isn't at USPS yet, but you charged me for it though.

but you are now saying (in the thread above) that this date is just "when you give it to your courier, and whatever the courier does you have no control"

Maybe say that on your website instead that we will receive the item on that date

We still expect the courier to uphold their estimated delivery times they provide on an average basis. But the couriers don't start counting their delivery time window till the parcel is scanned.

But thats a lie, because USPS scans end of business day especially if it is priority or express

tracking code is made when you purchase a label, automatically. I know because I told you I run a business where i ship tens to hundreds of things daily.

I can go buy a label right now (online) and I will have a tracking code, without courier having the package

If a package is in limbo for more than a set timeframe, we can request an investigation.

so it is safe to say it is outside of the timeframe now, because USPS does not deliver after 5pm

its actually somewhat common for businesses to purchase labels early, because the systems will then automatically send out 'fullfilled' email in the form of "your order has been shipped"

USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL, whatever, will scan, because they are liable and the whole process of where the product is is very important to them, because they need to pay if its lost

correct, the package is still with Wooting, but they 'bought' the shipping label

theres naturally a delay, because you HAVE to buy the label before you can give USPS the package

so they could've bought the label 8am, packed it by 10am, dropped it off at USPS by 2pm (whether or not they scan when they drop at 2pm, it WILL BE SCANNED 100% by End of Day)

so when you get a tracking code, thats when they bought the shipping label

whatever Mansen is saying is probably what their customer service team trained them to say, most people will never know unless they sell and ship things on how these things work

i don't know what happened with your order, all i have been trying to ask and say:

  • where is my order?
  • that they should not tell people order will arrive by X date on the website, when in reality that is not how they fulfill their orders

You’ll end up getting it I ordered a 60he a while back and the same thing happened and it took 5 days
