#New keyboard connected but not typing

My son just got the 60 for his birthday, and we used wootility to get it connected.
The keyboard lights up, it says it’s connected, the keys all respond to the pressure checks, but beyond that they do nothing.
The keyboard is not responsive with the computer outside of the wootility setting page.

Any thoughts and advice is appreciated.

also, restarting the PC might help

Thank you for these suggestions; unfortunately we have tried those with no success.

have you tried a different port?
have you tried using the keyboard on another device?

It’s a pc (Alienware), and we have tried different ports.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a different pc to try. Though I may be able to try to connect it to my laptop…

It almost seems like we’re missing a “complete setup” button or something. Everything is lit up, and the wootility is registering the pressure of the keys so we can make custom setups; but beyond that nothing is working or registering. And, as best as I can tell, the setup is complete.

I’ll post an update once I try connecting to my MacBook.

the keyboard should work out of the box without even ever connecting to wootility

I think it's some weird windows setting or 3rd party that fucks upscrajj

Whelp; it works fine on my MacBook, so there is some issue with connecting to the Alienware Aurora (which is also only a couple months old), so that’s no fun.

have you plugged it into the motherboard directly?

#

did your son used a different keyboard before?

could be driver issues (depending on how adventurous the son is with installing random stuff to supposedly improve performance) or even just too many usb devices connected

Thank you both for your continued thoughts and suggestions.

We tried various ports on the back of the pc (which I believe are the equivalencies of plugging directly into the motherboard).
He does have another keyboard that still works.
And the only usb things plugged in are the current mouse, the old keyboard, and maybe some headphones.

Based on checking all the other boxes, I’m leaning towards some sort of driver issue; but digging into that is a bit beyond my expertise.

Can you go in Device Manager, click on 'View' > 'Devices by container', then expand Wooting 60HE and take a screenshot
