#Should i buy 80HE now or wait for V2?

Hey! I am thinking about buying the 80HE, but I have a few concerns. I am considering the zinc alloy case, though I am worried about how easily it might scratch with daily use. That is probably my biggest hesitation.

I also like the idea of a split spacebar, and I am not sure whether that might be available on a potential 80HE V2.

Another concern is the price. It is a fairly expensive keyboard, and I would hate to buy it now only to see a new version released a few months later with features like a split spacebar or something similar to the screwless friction fit design that the 60HE V2 has.

Does anyone have any insight into if or when the 80HE V2 might be released? Thanks!

Yeah right. And did the fix the finish on the zinc alloy so its less scratchable?

It was never really scratchable to begin with, unless you intentionally stabbed at it with something metal and sharp.

White's received an improved case, and is what is sold now.
Black is a work in progress.
