Basically I have an original Wooting one keyboard, from one of the first official batches after the kickstarter was completed and the company was officialised. I did have some spare switches left, but someone threw them away recently and now I am in need of replacements. I just wanted some advice on what to purchase as it seems like they no longer stock the flaretech optical switches that this model shipped with.

Contact support, they may have a few spares but no promises. If the switches that need replacement aren‘t broken and just feel super scratchy, you can try re lubing them yourself, i have done that myself on my old wooting one (but you need to be very careful).

I honestly don't know if we have any left at this point.

The switches have been out of production for half a decade with no alternatives available.

#

But try a warranty support ticket.

Sadly it's just a case of them being worn out. THe CTRL key has stopped functioning half of the time, even when fully pressed. and I can't replace the switch for it lol. Ideally I need replacements for all of the switches though, as the keyboad is pretty much nearly 10 years old now

Thanks for letting me know though

I will contact support and hope that they can help

we do have some switch's available
i think we are low on red) but we have pleanty for Blue/black

Just incase the Switch is not at fault but instead the Emitter or sensors dying or covered best to remove the switch brush off any dust cover the components and try using another switch to cross check

if the other switch shows no issues - issue with the switch
if the other switch has no effect - high chance emitter has started to die

Thanks for the advice. I assume in the case of an emitter dying, my options are basically to replace the keyboard in general?

Yea... if that is the case very hard to replace the components due to how these are soldered on and not available for sale (custom for our keyboards) would need to very creative with alternatives or turn it into a mechanical switch

I think the keyboard is still working pretty well, the sensor seems to work without a keycap on it fine, I think it's just because i've been using the key with a bit of a diagonal angle so it's worn out the mechanisms.

blue switches are the silent ones if I recall?
