Hi, I need some help with my Wooting 80HE

A few weeks ago, the keyboard started randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. At one point, I updated the keyboard drivers and it seemed to stop for a while.

However, a few days ago it started happening again random disconnects and reconnects. This time, it completely stopped working and now it won’t turn on at all.

There are no LEDs, no response.
I’ve tried different USB cables, different USB ports (front and rear), another PC, and even a USB charger, but nothing works.

It’s only 4 months old.
Any advice would be appreciated 🙏

Sounds like a loose JST cable, it's the cable between the main PCB and the daughterboard. If that is the issue, it can be solved by opening up the keyboard and making sure the connectors are making a good connection.

The keyboard is only 4 months old and still under warranty.
Before opening it, I would like to confirm, would opening it affect my warranty?

Since the keyboard is completely unresponsive now (no LEDs at all), I’m concerned it might be more than just a loose cable

Opening it doesn't affect the warranty

If the cable is loose enough to be disconnected, then the keyboard won't be receiving any power

Right now I don’t have the tools for this process, but in the event of a more extensive process, do I have to send the keyboard back?

Is there a way to reset my keyboard? like to factory reset, literally no updates, lot of thanks!

To reset it it needs a connection to the PC still, which it won't if the JST cable has disconnected. But this would be the guide
