i’m also basically getting a lot of misinputs, my keyboard will just type a ton of characters super quickly and maybe my spacebar key won’t be working for a bit
should my cable support a higher data transfer speed? it’s using the usb adapter that came included with the cable which can only do usb 2.0
usb 2 supports 8khz
im unsure of what the problem could be
im using a spare board now that isnt 8k and i think my performance is fine now
is it a voltage issue ? i just upgraded my graphics card but my power supply is 750w rated
running i7 13700k and a 5070ti
im also a bit confused why you say nothing wrong with the daughterboard. we dont use daughterboards on the 60HE or v2
ok good, i can tell that to my cable maker
because he said check if thats the issue
because he also said my usb c insertion point looked a little loose
but that would be normal behavior based on what youre saying ?
id check by just taking the module out
connecting it
and seeing if anything changes
then you can also inspect if the usb-c port is lose or such on the pcb itself
hmmmm
i did everything u mentioned and removed from case, the keyboard is still acting strange, no wiggle or anything abnormal with the usb c port
but the keyboard is now inputting characters multiple times
i just pressed my space bar and it typed space in multiple times
i had to type this on my phone
testing testing, im unsure how to recreate it and where its coming from which is what is confusing me, this is totally new behavior and im using everything stock from wooting right now, cable and usb adapter connected right into my pc and the other end into the board
only thing that changed recently was getting a new gpu
The movement when you wiggle the cable is normal, but it shouldn't cause any issues. This sounds more like a power delivery issue, try other USB port on the back of your PC and see if that resolves the issue
thanks will do
speaking with my cable maker right now, do you think it is a voltage issue ?
750 watt psu powering a 5070ti 32gb ram i7 13700k
all usb ports inserted though, powering 2 webcams, my keyboard, and 3 usb hubs, 2 of which have dedicated power adapters
i feel like i shouldn’t behaving a vintage issue
Maybe it's busy USB controller, that's why I asked to try other USB ports
i think so too, i’m also trolling about my power delivery thing since it’s 850 watt rated psu
let me swap stuff around then
lol i think i figured it out, it was just from the sensitivity of the board from being lifted up and down i think
some keys would actuate on accident everytime i lifted the board up and down and i thought it was a cable issue
cause there would never be any situations like this if my keyboard just stayed on the desk and never moved
maybe also a slight magnetic thing? cause my desk is magnetic and my keyboard case is metal
has this happened to anyone else before ?
well there you go
if you have a metal desk, you'll have this issue
put something under the keyboard, like thick mousepad
ok time to invest in one of those keyboard mats i’ve seen people use, thanks for the input
yea get a keebmat and remove magnetic attachments on your desk if you have them and you should be fine
Anything magnetic around my electronics scares me lol
From the video, I noticed that you have a Secretlab magnetic cable management solution. There is a high chance this relates to a metal desk. I recommend using the analog monitor to see if you can cause the phantom presses to occur by physically moving the keyboard on the desk.
