did you map any controller buttons?

it does read controller input
did you unmap the wasd in the game
or if you dont need to chat while playing enable the gamepad mapping override so the keyboard doesnt send keyboard keys from gamepad mapped keys
I did not unmap it, I don't think dbd allows for that, It sort of just switches input types.

omg, it worked
The override works perfectly, im guessing since dbd only allows 1 input at time, it doesn't read the controller smoothness while a keyboard is active

id still recommend xbox tbh just for the control labels in wootility
they have more normal names like left stick up/down/left/right and such
and steam usually handles any needed conversion for games

check steam settings and then controller
