#60HE V2 Split (Friction Fit vs Tray Mount)

Hi! My 60HE V2 kit I ordered will arrive in a few days. Therefore, I have a question for you regarding PCB assembly in the Optimum Case.

This is my first time using a friction fit keyboard (previously only the gasket from keychron). What is safer in terms of electrical discharges? I am unable to fully trust friction fit due to the lack of grounding screws, but on the other hand, I am concerned about the tray mount of the PCB in the enclosure and microcracks of the PCB.

What is the situation with friction fit grounding in the Optimum case? Is it just the contact between the sponge and the USB C port, or are there more grounding points? How does this type of assembly relate to electrical safety and grounding of the entire keyboard? Is there anything to worry about?

Thank you in advance for any information and help! Best regards to the entire wooting community!

the optimum case is made with friction fit in mind

#

so it alr has conductive foam for grounding

#

thats the only point but that grounds the whole keyboard

#

and its already very safe

#

if ur really adamant on it you could screw in one tray mount screw to act as a second point

#

but its really overkill
