disassemble the board
especially given its coffee you should clean everything
so topplate, pcb, case etc
for the switches you could in theory take them apart and clean them with a relube after OR just buy a new set of switches (depends on how many are affected tbh)

...
the main worry right now would be the PCB though as the acidity from the coffee will start eating away at the waterresistant coating and then at the metal connections
i unfortunately have like 10-15 gunked up switches but i already dissassembled and the pcb seems safe
fair enough
if it seems safe but isnt youll have a dead pcb in not too long and would prob bite your ass to not have just cleaned it
if i opt to clean the switches it would be a similar process to lubing them right? where i have to fully disassemble?
to clean the pcb yes, to clean the switches no
switches are contact less so hotswapable by nature and can be taken out at any point
we do recommend however to only remove/insert them when the keyboard isnt powered on (so calibration doesnt get messed up)
yes its like with lubing
just that youd also remove all the lube. so you clean all parts, then relube all of them
if its "just" 15 switches this would be doable in a reasonable amount of time
gotcha
i think ill order like 20 switches and a puller and disassembler so if i spill again 5 years down the line i'll be prepared
and i'll clean the frick out of the pcb
ty for the advice!
dont forget IPA (isopropyl alcohol not irish pale ale) only for the PCB
no water or such
(unless its distilled water)
is 70% ok?
yes
yippee
