sounds like a loose JST connector
take it apart and make sure its fully seated (these can slowly work themselves loose especially during shipping or other stuff that shakes the devices more)

just disassemble until you can access the cable that connects it, press it in more and then do the steps you took so far backwards
In summary, you just need to remove those small set of keycaps :

- "right arrow" keycap.
Remove all screws behind keyboard.
Open the case by lock points near keycaps removed.
Then verify the JST cable is well connected with pushing it with nails gently at max :

Mount back.
I had the same problem of disconnect, any "perturbation" make this slide out.. and this is how i fixed it
