brazen cloud
#

yes it shows

# brazen cloud yes it shows

Wooting restore detected..

could you follow the steps below and see if it has the drivers needed to commutate with wootility (maybe windows did not assign these correctly)

  1. Right-click the "Windows Start icon"
  2. Select "Device Manager"
  3. Select "View"
  4. Select "Devices by container"
  5. Find the keyboard and expand the device tree

ok give me a sec i try it

oblique condor
#

yea that looks wrong... can you Right click "wooting restore" plug icon and "uninstall" this should remove the other driver

and replug the device and see if this matchs the image

wonder how it sometimes installs the wrong driver

brazen cloud
#

now is like this\

Either Windows “Plug and Play” dun goofed, which can happen if a communication issue occurs during the initial setup

or that third party software alters/changes the windows generic drivers (witch can be from zadig for example

in this case it doesn't get assigned correctly after a reinstall so i assume third party software inertances

brazen cloud
#

i already try zadig

oblique condor
#

uhhh..... that most likly the cause of the issue then

brazen cloud
#

i try it because nothing else can help me and it dosent appear with anything

oblique condor
#

can you lunch the software and try to revert the changes it has made

then restart the system

and attempt the steps to force the drivers to be reassigned

#

otherwise will need to do a mannaul driver assignment as a work around

brazen cloud
#

okey ill try it, sorry for my English, I speak Spanish. I'm from Costa Rica.

#

Thank you very much. I was finally able to fix it. Yes, it was Zadig. What I did was completely uninstall the drivers it had installed, including removing them through Command Prompt running as administrator. After that, I restarted the PC, reconnected the keyboard, followed the steps in WooTility Web, and now it shows up correctly.

No problem. 🙂

We seem to be getting more people using that software out of curiosity. Where did you read that it should be installed?

The first thing I did was try to do it through Wootility, but Wootility wouldn’t detect it in any way no matter how much I tried. Then ChatGPT helped me and suggested that by installing Zadig and QMK Toolbox I might be able to install some software so the keyboard would at least be detected and then install the firmware afterwards. But it seems that didn’t work. However, after unplugging it and doing what you told me on Discord and completely deleting the drivers, that’s what helped it be detected again.
