I ordered something from the outlet that said it was in stock. But my order says the product is on backorder in the order page? I assume these items are "restocked" as QC issues come up so there can't be any kind of time frame when the item would be back in stock. Would it be better to cancel my order and just pay full price for something, than wait for it when it has no determined stock date?

No that's not how it's supposed to work. Everything on the Outlet is in stock.
Did you add any accessories by any chance? Like keycaps?
