Hey there everyone excited to be joining the wooting family was able to replace my old keyboard with this nice custom one! As I’ve finished building it I can’t help but feel I might have somehow put it together wrong 😑 It’s my first time building it and I did have a few hiccup here or there but I got it together. After finishing I noticed the actuation point seems to be… off? And some of them don’t register completely. Not sure if it’s because of the way I put together but if anyone can chime in that be appreciated ^^ I made a time lapse also if that would be of any help too if needed.

Try replugging the board to recalibrate
Ahh this worked but then my next question would be if certain keys don't travel all the way down to 4.0 mm?
That shouldn't happen. Can you list all the mods you've done? I can see you used FR4 plate from KBDfans? Not sure why though, 60HE v2 comes with FR4 plate already. Also their plate isn't fully compatible with the v2, because the top right standoff doesn't match the PCB hole.
these were all the mods I got and I only changed the plate out really
Alright, can you install the stock FR4 plate and see if the issue persists?
yeah un momento
Are you friction fitting the module btw?
ok SO for the FR4 plate I had Tray mounted it but looking back I don't think I did it right because now all the keys work as they should with the friction fitting mod
I had bought the FR4 plate in advance of me getting the pcb so I guess I didn't realize it might not work
You don't need to tray mount. Use friction fit pad and FR4 plate. Also don't need to use any screws to ground the module, since the case is PC and not metal.
Gotcha well I def appreciate it as my keyboard works now and def happy with what I've made def worth the wait
Alright, if everything works fine now then enjoy the keyboard
