I performed a firmware update on my Wooting keyboard yesterday. After the update, the keyboard no longer turns on and keeps showing errors stating that the controller does not have enough resources.

After that, I attempted to flash a new firmware onto the keyboard. Since then, my USB ports no longer work with the Wooting keyboard and seem to be bricked.

Since then, the Wooting keyboard is no longer recognized on the USB port it was connected to during the flashing process. It appears that my entire USB controller is now malfunctioning, as other devices are also no longer being detected correctly.

Is it possible you have any RGB apps interfering in the background?

#

Some examples.
Artemis RGB
Asus Armoury Crate
L Connect3
Open RGB
Project Aurora
Razer software
Signal RGB
Wallpaper Engine (1 Report)
Motiv Mix (1 Report - Mic software)

@sand epoch Hi Andrew, can you help with this?

To be honest I think it came not working cause I got it like a couple of days ago and I’m already talking to the support on email

To check some points:

  • USB port unresponsive
In some cases, the USB port or USB controller can be shut off if an issue occurs with the port. This may only be temporary until a restart occurs. Sometimes a shutdown can also reset it, but I recommend a restart instead.

Troubleshooting
for a restore

  • Have you tried another USB port (further away from the current location)?
  • Have you tried another USB-C cable?

Follow-up questions if not resolved

How is the keyboard connected, for example:

  • Directly to the back of the computer?
  • To a USB hub or KVM?

If using a USB hub or KVM, plug the keyboard in directly.

For RGB software, these can’t interact with the keyboard while the device is in Wooting restore mode, as it doesn’t have the drivers

(The only exception is if the keyboard can’t be interacted with to place the device into Wooting restore mode, but that is VERY rare these days)

Note: these days, background services can cause some issues (we are working on a fix)

# stuck patio Yeah I tried every usb port and other usb c cables and it’s plugged into the bac...

Any chance you have Wooting background services installed? If so, can you disable this and perform a restore again?

  • Background services can’t interact with the keyboard, but they can interact with Wootility (this may be an issue)

Is it possible for you to perform a restore on another device to cross-check if this is limited to your current device?

Otherwise, could you provide the main.log file

Here

looks like you have background services running can you disable this and try a restore again

stuck patio
#

Them?

#

Wiat hold on I didn’t even know I had wallpaper engine open

sand epoch
#

wooting calls the background service "Background service" *bit confusing)

you should see it in the taskbar bottom right

stuck patio
#

Nah it didn’t work

#

It pairs for like 2 seconds then disconnects randomly

sand epoch
#

if possible can you try restoring on another device just to see if we can get the keyboard working and check if this is limited to the system

Changes nothing

#

I already opened pc and removed my cmos for 10-15 minutes to bios reset

I still get the error with usb controller don’t have enough resources

sand epoch
#

how many ports are affacted
(somtiems USB-C controllers are connected 1-2-4 ports) so may be a faulty usb-controller

long iris
#

Only when I plug in the wooting in any of the usb slots on the back I get the message

And the wooting is the only device that doesn’t work on the port anymore

sand epoch
#

well that is certainly odd to check the same error
USB Controller – Not Enough Resources

If you place the keyboard into "wooting restore" do you still get the error ?

long iris
#

Nope

#

I don’t get it when in restore mode

#

It’s since the firmware update that it bugs like that
