I'm planning one using some ipa wipes to clean my 80he but i'm not sure if its going to damage the coating e.g. rub the coating off or cause it to peel. Any recommendations or if someone has used ipa without any problems could let me know.

You can but shouldn't use IPA on the case. And definitely not on the keycaps.
Bogstandard dish soap water is all you need.
