My ‘ /or “ key is acting as my function key, I previously spilled liquid on it but I done my research and found that I had to clean it and I took them steps cautiously to ensure my keyboard functionality, and it was fine but a few weeks later my function key stopped working entirely but only worked when pressing a different key than the actual function key I wonder if there is some type of fix or it is a problem with my keyboard itself.

sounds like the multiplexer is shorted or damaged best to inspect the component shown in the image below as the FN pin may be shorted to the next pin
I’ll see what I can do myself as I am limited with my overall knowledge with electrical components alike this and I lack the needed tools at this time, but thank you ☺️
No problem.
Hopefully this may be resolved by cleaning the component a bit with IPA or a soft brush
for reference that component switches between each hall sensors rapidly so if shorted to anouther pin it may pick up the signal from anouther hall sensors and trigger the FN key
That does make sense I’ll try and gather the required tools to even disassemble the keyboard itself
i took the keyboard apart even cleaned it while it was apart and nothing looks visibly wrong
@rotund pelican
Could you take a few close up screenshots of the area in the image above and one of the entire pcb
I’ll see, as I did put it back together as it’s my only keyboard I have currently that is functional
Should these be good for photos? @rotund pelican
Thanks. The multiplexer looks to be in good condition (doesn’t look like a short).
So either the “FN”
- Hall sensor K49
or - capacitor C115 (I think that is the ID)
is causing the issue, which in that case there would be no easy fix and it would require soldering to resolve.
Note: away from PC, so I may have mentioned the wrong part number
Yeah the soldering on the c115 I’m sure the soldering is burnt off but sadly I lack the tools to micro solder it
Yea the small SMD parts can be tricky
I’ll probably just get the v2 module or something instead as I don’t have the precision either lol, but do you know what cases are compatible with the v2 module?
for friciton fit (depends) and i don't have a list may be a better place
for tray/screw mount (will require the module to have the sandwitch for screw in)

sadly that channel says no access, but do yk if cases like the holy60 are compatible
oops wrong mod
#🔧│keyboard_modding
i have see some one post a picture of the holy 60 with the friciton fit (cant test my self)
