#ideas for a 60he v3 (if that ever comes out)

I've always wanted to try your keyboards and I'm planning to get the v2 this April. I've seen the reviews and videos and opinions and it seems like an amazing keyboard. i don't know if you guys will ever make a 60he v3 but if you do here are things i would love to see put into it that i think the community would agree with

moving from hall effect to TMR (for aesthetics nerds)
its pretty much the same thing but allows for better customizing. you can put either hall effect or regular switches instead of being locked to hall effect. this means you could use HE switches on WASD, spacebar(s) etc. and use regular switches on the other keys. feel like alot of ppl the custom keyboard community would love this

Volume slider on the side or top of the case
this is why some people go for 65% boards instead of 60% boards cause most 60% boards i see have no native volume control. i get why there cant be a knob cause 60% is to small. but a volume slider on the side or top of the case could work just fine.

A switch for custom presets
i think another keyboard has this and people loved it. basically if you switch it to the left it uses preset one. if you switch it to the right it uses preset 2
this means you could have preset one for better typing. and preset 2 to enable all the rapid trigger features, SOCD features etc. etc. without having to constantly reopen wootility
i think this would be nice for people who have issues typing with low actuation settings.

Multiple connectivity modes:
i think a lot of ppl saw ZTT's video on the 60HE v1 and one of his points was he needed multiple connectivity modes (like dongle/bt/wired) to switch over quickly from his gaming pc to his streaming pc. so why don't we add this. i think a lot more streamers than just ZTT would love this

and keep the same customizability like split spacebar when you order. i personally love the idea for that because some games i play have horrible key binds and all my thumbs doing is smashing the spacebar anyway.

honestly more people than just streamers will use multiple connectivity modes i think. like people who play minecraft or any other games with servers and switching from there gaming pc to the server pc to check the console or something like that

What you've heard about TMR is mainly YouTubers reading off the manufacturers marketing spec sheet, there are no TMR keyboards that currently outperform the highest end HE keyboards and there are downsides to TMR that aren't mentioned.

As for the volume slider they are working on this: https://wooting.io/knobs

Wooting

Fully programmable knobs. Place them anywhere on your keyboard. Backwards compatible with all Wooting (ARM-based) keyboards.

A switch for custom presets
Even better a background service is in the works so depending on what application/game you have open it will automatically switch profile

Multiple connectivity modes:
Has been brought up before but Wooting doesn't have much interest since it adds a lot of complexity to shipping with batteries not to mention little value for most people since they are mainly focused on enthusiast performance and this doesn't add anything to that

Not trying to be rude, but I’d recommend doing research before making recommendations. In regards to your OP, you’ve already been told why TMR isn’t used, that knobs are coming out soon (which will allow for volume control), you can already switch your profiles with the press of a key on the keyboard (and a background service is in the works to automate the process), and that you can use a usb switcher to connect to multiple devices at once. Not really sure what you’re wanting?

i did research tmr switches a little and i didnt see much but positive reviews. i dont usually use reddit for fact checking either cause thats usually the WORST place to go for fact checks. never heard/found anything about the background service either. (since i didnt search for that specifically) the volume knobs i agree with. my bad. should have done more research on those. and i wasnt aware of "usb switchers" for these questions i usually use reliable sources like the manufacturer itself or friends or people i trust like ztt since he sometimes knows what hes talking about. (why i agreed with you saying i should have done my research on knobs more. cause it was on the website) but yes next time i can do my research a little more.

Reddit definitely isn’t the place to go for fact checking. Not sure why you’d even bring that up. That’s like treating Wikipedia as gospel. But there’s tons of evidence out there about TMR keyboards. A lot of people that buy them rant and rave about them because of personal biases and so they feel good about their purchase. Really, the main upside with TMR over HE is power draw. You can actually get away with it being wireless because it’s not as hungry for power. But if you look at latency tests, all the ones on the market are quite trash. Also, the added complexity in the sensors can cause more issues. HE is another example of “if it isn’t broken, don’t try to fix it.” Switches aren’t necessarily recommended by wooting because they need to be powered by an outlet to provide enough juice to the keyboard and due to overall cable length and power output, there’s no “guaranteed” solution. It’s all trial and error when it comes to that. Also, ztt isn’t necessarily the best source of information. Some of his takes are pretty ignorant.

You’re 15 (under the legal age to own or possess a firearm) and glorifying/inciting violence on discord…maybe call the cops and not post about it on discord <@&1098943457654997093>

And not mine legally. I just helped my grandpa load them cause they take a lot of force and he's old and can't do it. Apologies tho. I shouldnt post it on discord I just don't like lying but I could of said something like "personal business gotta go"

If a mod still has to do something about it though I understand
