So I bought a Modtke joystick and the windows key (in my case blank key) is always being pressed down (windows key is used as an anchor). You can't select any other keys because this key is always being pressed down, so I can't map any Advanced keys to anything. Can we get a way to disable certain keys entirely?
#Perma key depress prevents assignment of advanced keys.

set the actuation of it to 4mm?
and if it for some reason fully depresses it id question why...
not necessary just to anchor to a board
also just to come back to disabling them: unmapping them is disabling them
You've also shown mapping of your Fn layer 1, but you're probably constantly pressing whatever is mapped on the Main layer
thanks, this did it. 4mm is just out of reach of the full depress actuation. Unmapping doesn't work though. Still is considered pressed/actuated.
yea good call, but I caught that and the main layer is also empty.
an unmapped key shouldnt have any influence on anything if its pressed really
In the advanced keys section, it does though. It's considered pressed as long as it's actuated, even if it's not mapped to anything. Main/FN were both unmapped and the key was highlighted whole time. Once I changed actuation point, it went away.
oh it messes up modtap then?
@ancient juniper might wanna check if this is supposed to happen that unmapped keys that are pressed can mess up modtap
i think there are 1 issues here right?
one of them is the UI not working properly because an unmapped key is considered pressed for adding it
the other possible one is modtap jit behaviour
this is about the first issue, yes?
I created an issue that is now tracked internally
Not sure how we're going to handle this exactly, I suspect it will come with some improvements we have to the analog interface soon
