#Cannot screw module to 60HE v2 aluminium case

When assembling the Wooting 60HE v2 aluminium case,
it feels like the module/PCB should be fixed to the case with screws,
but there are no places to screw it in.

Before final assembly, the module separates very easily from the case.
Is this normal by design, or could something be missing?

I'm curious. Did you just buy the Keyboard blindly? Cause uhh it's friction fit mount only. No screws in the V2 cases smile

With ... the friction mount? 😄
No you cannot turn the keyboard upside down.

The module has a friction fit piece (rubber band) like edge. This keeps the module inside of the key during normal use. No screws.

That IS a 60HEv2. Have you taken it apart at all?

yapp

So you took it apart? Did you remove the transparent piece?

#

This piece that covers the outer area of the module.

I followed the video, disassembled it, added the foam that came with the kit, and then reassembled everything.

Well there's your problem 😄

#

You turned the 60HEv2 into a non-friction fit version - which you'd want to do for some aftermarket cases. But that makes it impossible to install into the 60HEv2 case you have. Gotta swap the pieces back in as shown above. 🙂
