Hey, can someone tell me why I keep getting this issue?
I recently got the Wooting 80HE for my birthday and been using it for 2 months now since then. I have plugged it directly into the back of my PC i have tried plugging it in in multiple ways and even tried without the small USB on top of the wire. I’m also using 1000hz because 8000hz gave me even worse problems. My PC specs are RTX 4070Ti, i5-13600KF, 32GB RAM. Anyway the main issue I get is that it randomly disconnects and the lights sometimes flash and it just connects and disconnects and sometimes stops working completely. And beilive me this has been killing me during gaming sessions. Please tell me what’s the issue? I fear it might be the wire broken or something with the keyboard. (I have even tried completely reseting it and the firmware) And if it’s a wire issue or keyboard, does wooting fix it for free?

The jst cable (from usbc daughterboard to the main keyboard module) is likely loose. Take apart the keyboard and ensure the cable is firmly connected, then reassemble.
Sometimes, you may need to fully disassemble your keyboard, whether it's to swap out stabilizers or replace components due to a defect. In this video, we'll guide you through the process.

Will try! thank you
let me know if this worked since i have the same problem
Yeah will let you know
Yo, just after doing it. Turns out the JST cable is already in really really firm. If your keyboard is newer it’s most likely to be in well. I’m after spending like 40 minutes trying to take apart the keyboard is a big hassle and I don’t recommend whatsoever. We are just going to have to keep searching what’s the issue.
Almost broke something too
his genuinely annoys me so much, like Sometimes i’m in the middle of gaming or typing something and it even holds down a key for me
now i’m also afraid i accidentally broke something while disassembling it even though i was careful
does wooting fix keyboards for free if they come slightly broken or something?
i think they can sent you replacement part or sum, type to thier support thru wooting site, but i had the same problem with some cheap chinesse he keyboard aswell
so i think this is common problem with he boards
Yeah, im gonna message them today. This really does suck.
They do too much, thats why I feel like I should have went with the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3
you cant rely on this keyboard at all
good thing I have a spare, because once this wooting 80he completely stopped working and my other keyboard came in clutch
@blazing light Something I know that can help reduce the issue is,
Disabling Techyon Mode
Using lower brightness than 100% Than RGB (use 0% if you want less issues) (Use 50-80% if you still want light)
And use 1000hz polling rate
i feel like the wooting might be using too much power
when i used 800hz it would disable everything plugged into my pc, it would crash my whole system and mouse and mic litterly everything
