Spacebar on my 80HE is sticking

Exactly what it says on the tin. I tried every method of cleaning with all forms of chemical down to vinegar and still cannot get the spacebar to stop sticking. I’ve disassembled and reassembled this thing so many times i could do it in my sleep. Please for the love of god does anyone have a solution for this?

Did you check if your spacebar is warped or if the foam pad is under the stabs

Depending on when the 80HE was made, this could be the white pads (below the stabilizers)

We added these to the earlier keyboards but removed them in later batches when we noticed that the white pads can absorb the stabilizer grease and slightly expand, causing heavier keycaps to stick slightly

I bought it in late august. Idk if that helps at all. But i’m using the default keycaps could that still be the issue?

The key itself looks fine and from what i can tell nothing internal looks misshapen or broken but i have FAR from trained eyes so i could’ve missed it.

It really only happens when the keys been left alone for awhile. Then after i use it a bit it seems to loosen up and go back to normal. It only seems to happen after long periods of me not using it.

I assumed some form of gunk had gotten in there and gummed it up

Place the keycap on a flat surface (glass table or phone screen for example) and see if there are any gaps
