Here's how my backspace sounded out of the box (it's split ansi module)

It felt and sounded like the stabilizer is either sticking to the pet film itself or makes the pet film stick and get unstuck from the pcb with lube

Upon opening the module I've noticed that the lube leaked out of the stabilizers and sipped onto/below the pet film and onto the pcb

#

Here's how it looked on the inside

#

Here's how it sounded after i've removed the stabilizer, lifted the pet layer, cleaned it all up with a paper towel and reinstalled the stabilizer

#

I didn't do anything about the insides of the stabilizer (did not remove or add any lube there), only cleaned up pcb, pet (on both sides), the bottom of the stabilizer that comes in contact with the pet film

#

I've noticed some slight sticky noise from the enter key as well and decided to remove all the stabilizers and fully clean the pet film and the pcb (again, just the paper towels, no alcohol or anything like that)

#

A weird thing to note is that most of the stabilizers leaked the lube onto pcb/film, but still sounded alright, only the backspace sounded horrendous (video didn't really do it justice)

Visually the backspace and enter keys leakage looked almost identical, but the backspace sounded way worse while the enter only had some faint stickiness

Another thing to note is that it was the left side of the stabilizer that produced the noise

#

without keycap being pushed into the film

#

it didn't look like the film got crinkled up (looks ok in the photos), maybe the issue had nothing to do with the lube but misaligned film or something

#

either way that's all the info i have about this, somewhat unfortunate, but the clean up worked well enough pepenerd

update: kept noticing some faint sticky-crinkly sounds on backspace still, first i tried to place a piece of painters tape below the film where stabs hit it and then also above the film, having painters tape on top of the film seemed to help

then i inspected the film a bit and noticed that some stabilizers have a cutout around them in the film, ended up cutting around all the stabs (initially only left shift and enter had it from the factory, i think?)
