If you look closely, somewhere on the packaging is a QR code, that would get you to here: https://wooting.io/quickstart/keyboard/wooting-60he-v2/module
yeah but i still have questions after reading this
sould i remove the black paper behind the module before installing it ?
What parts did you get with the module?
No
everything to build the 60hev2 i had to that because i wanted a french split
so you got the new v2 case?
yeah everything
Put the sound dampening in the case, then module, switches and keycaps. No need to use screws.
in what sens should i put the foam layer which came with the module
Switch RGB window should be facing north
Can you take a photo
ye one sec
Im gonna add onto this question as I had the same question basically. If you order the module + case seperately, you do not get sound dampening foams or do you?
or if you choose silicone
Ok so its just a "drop it in" no screwing job? Aside from your own switches/keycaps.
Correct
i was ocnfused cus on the site i dont see dampening foams/sillicone when i do the order
ye but thats the porom foam for between pcb
This one @worldly flicker
what's it use then ?
This basically is what I meant. if you order prebuilt
Prebuild or module with case.
Black one is for older cases that don't support friction fit.
Does the module + case come with case dampening options? On the site I cant see it so i assume no.
Case comes with both of them
If you choose v2 case, silicone insert and EPDM foam will be included with it.
Ok cool, think u guys can put it into the description too.
The case does. And it is mentioned there.
wait where can i find that during the order itself? im in the module config https://wooting.io/configurator/wooting-60he-v2?model=ANSI&lang=United+States&keycaps=none&quantity=1&product=module&switches=none&case=55953212965208
thats where i got ocnfused basically
You can't - Because there's simply not room for showing such details there, only choices.
ok check
Just last stupid question, I dont get a fr4 plate with the module? Thats the only difference I see in text comparision.
You do
The FR4 plate is what holds the switches. It's preinstalled on all 60HEv2 modules and preinstalled keyboards.
Okie alright clear guess im getting the module and case on its own.
to install the switches you just push them in in the right sens ?
Yes, insert them, should hear a click once they're fully in. Just make sure LED window is facing north.
in your videos you unscrew the pcb into two part to do this
shouldn't i be doing this ?
No we don't?
Not sure where you saw that, you don't need to disassemble the module to put the switches. Simply just put the module in the case, then switches and keycaps. Nothing else needed.
Depending on what model you have, it's perfectly fine to pull them with the module assembled on the 60HE.
On the 80HE, lekker switches are a bit tougher to get out, so we recommend pushing them out with a finger from behind.
Also
Personally I always screw the board apart. It's overall faster and easier.
okay thanks
