Well it's a quickstart guide, those tend to mention using the product in a way that's basic and that would be using wooting cases mostly. Custom options are always connected to research (and the quickstart guide isn't really the place as a modding guide)

That's fair, but where would I get this information, also some information like what to do with the back tape would be nice
maybe including a tip that "Hey there's a screw under the tape, don't tear your plate in 2"

Like to begin, there's not even instructions on HOW to install the module onto 3rd parties, I just had to assume i'd be screwing it in after a lot of figuring

It depends on the third party case
Some after market cases support friction fit, some dont. Some others have support for gaskets (gt60) or use leaf springs (salvation). Some after market cases require/are best with a special plate (gt60) and some don‘t. It all really depends on what specific case you got and there is no definitive "how to" guide one could write cause there will always be outliers
