Hello everyone,

I'm a long time enjoyer of Counter Strike and other fps games and I want to try socd or snappy tappy. During my year of cs I used to play a lot of KZ.

In every game that I play I strafe the way i used to do in 1.5 and 1.6 CS by 'locking' the strafe with both AD keys.

eg: To strafe on the left ill press D then tap A and fully press both keys AD same for W and S if I want to stop.

Now my question is, what would be the optimal use for me of SOCD? Neutral with alternative behavior? or last input?

I hope I'm making myself clear with my explanation

Optimal configuration? To not use it at all, if you enjoy avoiding getting kicked for using SOCD in the game.

in that case what would it be?

Last input is the preferred choice for games that you can use SOCD. But like Mansen said, if you’re playing any public matchmaking, you’ll get booted to the menu if/when it detects it. Maybe even private matchmaking and workshop maps (I haven’t tried it on those so I couldn’t tell ya).
