Video shows how stabilizers are real sticky and stick in place even halfway pressed. Ill post a better video with the button on later today.
Did you send in a ticket through https://wooting.io/support by any chance?
Pick the category and issue you need help with, and we'll guide you through the process.
Yea i did. But hoping there is an easy fix. Thinking I might just take the stabilizers out. But I dont want to touch anything until I hear from them.
I think you should check your spam folder then.
Yea nothing back yet.
Ah I see the issue, I guess your e-mail address is not @ymail.com?
Nvm. Just popped up. They are advising me to pull off stabilizers and see what is going on. Which i suspected would be the answer. But I wanted to make sure if I do that and something goes wrong. My warranty wont be void.
No worries about your warranty. Try the suggested steps and get back to me through that mail. :)
Appreciate it. Does a spare stabilizer bar come in the packaging?
No unfortunately not, these are the only spares
Ok, I work on electronics for a living. Im sure I can figure it out now i got the go ahead from you. I appreciate it. Get back to you as soon as I can
Yea so the disassembly is not the same as the video you sent me. It looks like I have to take everything completely apart. So might be a few days
The guides are not up to speed yet regarding v2's so for that I'm sorry. But take your time, we have no hurry as long as your issue gets resolved.
Are yall going to make a guide?
You can basically use the 80HE disassembly video guide for this as far as taking the module apart.
Different screw locations, same approach.
Thank you
So i took it all apart. Messed around with the stabilizer and put it back together. It works slightly better. But just feels rough
Anything we can do? Maybe send some stabilizers? Or?
You can try and lube/clean the stabilizers but if that still doesn't make them feel alright they might need replacement. Could you maybe send me the steps you tried until now and maybe a video of how the stabilizers are feeling/sound as of now through the mails you've been sending? You can reply to the last mail you received or sent. I'd like to continue the conversation there since Discord is not an official service channel. :)
Fair enough. Ill do that as soon as possible
I have the same problem with the stabilizers. I have no clue how to fix it so I put the keycap only on the switch in the middle and not on the brown ones. Little disappointed for 240€ but at the same time I don't want to send it back and play on my old keyboard...
Factory defects or shipping damage can happen to any product, regardless of whether it is 5 bucks or 500 bucks.
We offer to return and reship new boards for issues like this if it happens within the first 30 days. Beyond that, it requires a bit of screwdriver and fiddling with the stabilizers (either to reconnect it, wiggle it loose or outright replacing it)
