it'd be cool if you could change the case of the wooting visual in wootility to be a different case, like optimum, ow60, alumaze, etc

You know how time consuming will be to create indivdual keyboard background for all cases. Should be only their cases they supply on thei4 website + kbdfan since they’re collab company

I know that this has been discussed internally before, to let users customize the way Wootility shows their keyboard. Things like the magnetic wave keycaps with a color matched Alumaze and detachable cable, showing all of those different accessories.

There's a practical challenge: how could Wootility know what case/keycaps/etc to show?

  • Option 1: let the user pick whatever they want. There's an argument to be made that this could even drive sales, since someone playing around might think that one of the options is perfect for them.
  • Option 2: link Wootility to the Wooting Hub to "unlock" cosmetic product skins based on past purchases.

Unfortunately in either case, this idea is on the backburner at the moment. While it would be fun and cool, the Wootility devs and UI/UX designers have an enormous list of more impactful improvements to make 🙂
