Hi there, I sent this morning the request to switch from ANSI to split ANSI for the 60HEV2(first time buying wooting therefore having a change of mind mb D:), now my question is why after the request the response time has to be 2-7 business days if the fullfillment process is automatic. Couldn't it simply be switched right away? Therefore, why could there be the possibility to be moved on the next batch? I am aware of the great request of this item therefore I am curious about the length of all this processing. Thank you in advance for any explanation.

Not sure what you mean by the fulfilment process being automatic. Afaik support has to manually edit your order and with the current influx of tickets, it just takes some time before support gets to your request. The reason why this could affect your batch is because you're essentially getting a completely different product and thus would be at the end of the line for the split variant (after all, they can't simply take someone else's reserved keyboard and assign it to you, that wouldn't be fair).
Thank you for the reply, I was trying to understand this cause I said it's my first time ordering from wooting and I'm seeing that a lot of work is behind unlike other brands. Thus, even if the change is simply the ANSI to ANSI SPLIT is like they are shifting the whole order as if it was a new one is that right? I did not cancel it to avoid the probability of ending all the way down
I don't know the exact internal process, but I'd imagine your founder perks (sticker and switches) stay in the same batch and just your keyboard gets moved to a new batch. So there is still a probability that they have extra keyboards and your delivery date doesn't change. But if they first need a new batch to arrive, it would delay your order.
Iirc during the founder campaign, it would have been easier and faster to cancel the order and place a new one, but I assume you ordered during the founder campaign and only decided to change your order today, which means that if you want to keep the founder perks, you need support to change your order manually, which sadly currently just takes some time.
Maybe someone with more intel can give a certain answer.
Unfortunately ordered it yesterday night and wanted to change it this morning, I am also trying to avoid the "refunding" part otherwise as I should wait also for the money to comeback. Probably I missed the founders' perks for 5 hours or so. Moreover, I discovered about everything right after ordering. While gaming yesterday evening had a n issue with my keyboard and said "firetruck it I want a wooting", and then everything came after. Also, I didn't think about the split ansi yesterday and here I am, I hope that I did not waste a whole week of waiting for my change of mind(nothing changes in the end but you know).
Oh yeah, if you need for the money to be refunded before ordering another one, then contacting support should be faster.
That being said, I wouldn't hold my breath. I contacted support last Saturday to add something to my order, but haven't received a response yet (I'll just take the L and go through with the order regardless, didn't want to potentially delay it for a week or two). I'd say expect at least 4-5 business days for a response atm. But who knows, maybe you're lucky and already get a response on Monday
I hope that simply changing 1 piece doesn't take too much time. Thank you for the answers @candid helm have a great day!
It takes just as long to change one thing as three things. It's about the sheer number of tickets, our team has to gothrough.
Hi there Mansen. Thank you for the reply. Do you think it will really take about seven days to process this thing? I hope that I will not end in the next batch D:
I honestly can't say. It depends on how quickly we can work through the pile of tickets all asking to edit their order in some way or other. Could be a few days, could be a week. (Do keep in mind we don't work weekends, so the work day ended about an hour and half ago, until Monday morning)
