You need to get the keycaps we made for the keyboard specifically, because the standard we used turns out to be slightly offset to a different one, that is more popular among aftermarket keycaps.

No. That one is only for 60HE sized boards.

We only offer a black or white keycap for the JIS space bar.

Your operating system decides what language your keyboard is, not the keyboard. You can put most ANSI keycaps onto the keyboard, but you'll have to rebind some things in Wootility to make it all fit.

On the keys where they fit, yes. But that won't change the language.

Can I install regular ANSI keycaps on the PCB above

I already answered that question twice. You can install ANSI keycaps. On the keys that have the same size and shape. Not the whole board.

The main challenge with a Wooitng 80HE JIS is not finding a JIS set, that's only half the battle. The main issue is that even if you find a JIS set, the spacebar will not suite W80.

Any other JIS spacebar won't fit Wooting 80 JIS keyboard. Its side legs are located elsewhere. And this is a completely different kind of problem if you want to change keycap set.

I had to order a keycap set for the mine Wooting 80HE JIS layout (DSA profile in my case), cut off its spacebar side legs (I spent a long time thinking about how to cut off the side legs without ruining the keycap, it’s difficult to do because the legs are recessed inside and on three sides of the borders), print out new legs, and glue them to the spacebar. Thanks to Wooting for this amazing quest!

I'm sharing the solution after you've found a 4.5U spacebar, you need to buy some cutting line, like a hand saw cutting line, wrap it around the stem from the very bottom, and start sawing by hand. Once you reach the bottom, polish it with a machine with a tiny head. Or you can start polishing the stems with a machine with a tiny head right away, and continue until you reach the base of the key. After that, measure the area for the base of the new stem (meaning it shouldn't just be a stem, but a stem with a rectangular base-backing, which can then be glued in place either with glue or good double-sided tape with a thin backing. This type of tape is the strongest and won't peel off without a pritty huge effort). Print a new stem, it should look like the letter "T" if you look at it from the side, on a 3D printer. Then simply find the locations that W80 needs and glue them in place. It's a real hassle, but it will work perfectly

It took me a long time, but now I have the extra thumb button I needed and I have an JIS 80HE keyboard with a different set of keycaps 🥳
