Did you receive an order confirmation email?
resolved
I just got an email explaining import tax duties where do u see if u pre paid ddp?
You didn't if you received that email. But it would be displayed on the courier name. Like DPD (DDP)
It js says it may so I js gotta wait for when I get a envelope from the fedex company?
So when I ordered at checkout it says tax+order this is a whole separate tax im paying?
(Potentially paying)
What's the order number? I'll look it up
EUxxxx
ROW? Oh yeah you definitely didn't pay import duties on checkout. 🙂
It just means there isn't an easy way for us to handle this during checkout, and depending on your country, you may have to pay additional money to get your package released from your country's customs.
This is often handled by the courier. They pay upfront and then hand you their bill.
So separate from the tax I paid at checkout?
You didn't pay tax at checkout.
No taxes. Just the price of the product.
Oh price + shipping
Yep.
313 NZD for the keyboard, 32.87NZD for Fedex.
Okay make sense
So depending on what NZ's customs rules are, you either just receive your package, or Fedex will ask you to pay import duties once they have the package scanned in on their end.
I know Australia doesn't charge taxes for packages under 1000AUD, but I am not familiar with NZ.
So taking from this
Goods Valued at NZ$1,000 or Less
For most items purchased from overseas websites valued at NZ$1,000 or less, New Zealand Customs does not collect duty or fees at the border.
GST (15%) is typically collected by the overseas supplier/seller at the point of sale and paid directly to the Inland Revenue (IRD).
Im all good and not gonna be required to pay import tax
Sounds like it's basically like Australia then. 🙂
Nah australia copied us
