Hey so I poured a little bit of soup over my keyboard and somehow my cable from wooting isnt working anymore. So I replaced it with another USB C cable.

Claned my Keyboard and it works fine but now the wootility App says "due to Keyboard settings and usb hub only 1000hz is supported and true 8k polling rate isn't working properly"

Is it because of the cable? I don't know how what to do.

Not familiar with that error or it being present anywhere in Wootility?

In this case, I recommend taking apart the 80HE and checking the Daughterboard. USB port (inside) and the bottom of the PCB (with the black PET sticker removed) for any possible corrosion or issues.

Since it sounds like a potential data problem
for instance, if corrosion is present on the pins that send or receive information, some data may be lost, causing issues this would be easy to trigger when information is sent at a higher frequency (8k).

for reference this is a picture of the Daughterboard.

If the daughterboard or USB port looks off

  • Inside the port (dunk in IPA if possible)
  • Daughterboard has a substance best to clean this IPA and a soft brush

if it is in a bad state we have replacement parts available

I was so afraid that I cooked my board @south jackal I searched the whole internet to raise my polling rate back up to 8k, never found a solution! Haven't seen this setting, my bad.
