#Can someone explain why no one makes switches with 2mm travel, instead of 4mm and 3.2mm?

orings? people use ceramic balls under keycaps to reduce travel distance
also why no one makes them is a question i can only imagine an answer to with my own experience which would be: not enough requests for it
They have them for mechanical switches, but they have not made them for magnetic switches yet
They are usually referred to as medium profile
unfortunately. feels like so much dead and useless travel
oh? can you tell me more about this? where can I find them etc?
3.4 for me is already a huge jump
Took me a while to get used to it. Can’t imagine 2mm, and I don’t think 3.2 would be a big change

This is smth another used said they use (although they used a different vendor for smaller ones as they just wanted 3.5mm before those existed)
but they also bought various sizes to play around with it if i recall right
you mean going from 4mm to 3.4mm?
how exactly do you make these stick under the keycap?
won't they just roll out?
i think the last person just hot glued them as they wanted a permanent mod anyway
ah jeez dood. I can't do that
i can imagine but i can also only name how i heard other people did it
i personally am not in the short travel switch game
fair enough my man! thanks anyway ❤️
i hope you find a solution or switches that work for you
Yeah
