What's the binds in Wootility and your current Windows language?
everything is stock settings besides rapping trigger and scappy tappy on A+D keys, and language is in english
What the question mark button does depends on the OS language, for me that's Shift++
thats understandable, but ive had the keyboard for a year now never had this issue, but whats weird is that slash works just fine
//
but when i hold shift nothing else happens
What's your OS keyboard language?
So what would you do to try to type a question mark?
hold shift then press the key
Which one? This depends a lot on your language
i tried both shift keys aswell to see if it was just that shift button would be the issue but still does the same thing
also switched the switch out for one of the spares but still facing the same issue
and ive done nothing to the keyboad besides a tape mod and made sure i didnt accidently damage anything in anyway but if i did it wouldve occurred much sooner
I don't think it has anything to do with the keyboard. I think it's your application having the wrong language set so your expected hotkey doesn't work for it
Or since you have a 60, check the layers
i first noticed it happening on overwatch and then discord to every application that i use day to day, i only speak english so there shouldnt be any conflicts but i dont really know how that works
what should i look for in the layers?
should i restart my pc to see if that helps?
What is bound to Fn1 for you on the far right is the Ctrl key
all the FN binds are what came with the keyboard
the right ctrl key bind for f1 would be the right arrow
What do you want to accomplish?
what do you mean?
oh wqait
it works
?????
/////
guess restarting my pc fixed it
but lowkey i was having trouble with what you said here couldnt understand
what do you think was the issue tho, i dont wanna have to keep restarting my pc each time itll do it
If re-calibratiotion was off, then it will happen when so
is there another way to re calibrate without restarting?
ah i see
Well re-plugging
ill do that next time, thanks for helping. i tried to see if anyone else was having the same issue or had the same issue but couldnt find anyone mentioning it
If it keeps happening and you don't have a Secret Labs desk, then we're curious
wait
it can also happen when you have a secret labs desk? i was planning on getting one
is it magnets?
If you use the magnetic sufrace yes
ah i see, i have a rubber desk mat tho
The desk itself is fine, just don't use the magnets
if it happens again and restarting+ replugging doesnt work what would i do then?
would resetting all keyboad settings help or no
If it doen't help you contact support https://wooting.io/support
Pick the category and issue you need help with, and we'll guide you through the process.
But if you plan to get one of those boards, they can't help you
what category would that full under?
ah okay, good to know
It's just physics, not anything they can help sadly. Those tables might have magnets strong enough to interfere
tysm for the help, ill keep that in mind when i do get the desk. last question tho regarding the desk
would a thick desk mat prevent such issues from happening?
or another preventative measure to take?
I can't give any measure, best to talk with support
