To start, I recommend not plugging in the 80HE any further, as while it is working now, the exposure of residue and electricity can cause the corrosion to worsen and possibly cause permanent damage
On a side note, we can provide replacement parts like the daughterboard, so it’s best to send an email requesting this and mention that it happened from a spill
Also, as a precaution, can you take a few pictures of the keyboard PCB with the "PET - black sticker" removed so I can check if the PCB is affected, as you may need to clean it with IPA or distilled water and a soft brush to remove any residue
I sent in a replacement part request through the website. Is there an email I should have sent it to instead?
that works
also it looks like i forgot to link where to make the request in my last post
just a heads up that most staff wear away for the week so we have a bit of a backlog of tickets so may take a bit of time for a respones
Just got home and took a couple pictures of the PCB. Visually I don’t see any residue myself
Hmm the test pad near the jst connector looks a bit dark but I assume that lighting
But all around the PCB looks to be good condition so this may be resolved by just replacing the jst cable + daughter board
I will have another look once go back to sleep and wake up again Incase I missed anything
