Hi everyone,
I recently switched from Lekker 60 v2 to Owlab Ti HE switches on my Wooting 80HE (ISO layout), and I’ve noticed a mechanical issue that only happens with long keys that use stabilizers (Enter, Shift, Spacebar, Backspace, etc.).
The problem is that these long keys don’t press down evenly anymore — if I press the top of the key, the bottom side lifts slightly, and vice versa. This doesn’t happen with the original Lekker 60 v2 switches.
I inspected my stabilizers (they’re straight, correctly screwed in, and move freely), so that’s not the cause.
After testing further, I noticed that the stem of the Owlab Ti HE switch doesn’t seem to travel as deeply as the Lekker switch. That could be why the keycap doesn’t sit perfectly level or doesn’t compress fully on both stabilizer stems.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Owlab Ti HE switches on the Wooting 80HE? Could there be a small difference in stem height or travel tolerance causing instability on long keys?Given the Owlab Ti HE has a shorter total travel distance (about 3.4mm) compared to the Lekker switches (4mm), I wonder if this height difference is causing the uneven key press on long keys with stabilizers.
Thanks for any insights or fixes!

it makes up for the difference of height u mentioned
Nope, it’s the wooting abs keycaps
Oh ok, i will look at this
0.5mm is the one u want
Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try that. Have a nice day!
Yes, I imagine so, thank you.
Have you tried removing the keycap and pushing it to the deepest?
That's what happen with my PBT keycaps
Sometimes when it's 'sticky' and I push it as hard as I can. I still need to remove the keycap again and redo that process to fix it
Yes, that's what I do. Actually, it's not really a problem, because when I type on the keyboard, I don't have any issues like that. It's only when I press very hard on one side of a long key that this happens, but it's not annoying at all, it's just imperfect :/
