@dapper igloo looks like a possible firmware bug?
this doesnt happen on my 80HE
hmm thought this was a bug that was reported awhile ago
@tepid quartz can you share your profile code
- Wootility
- My profile
- select the profile
- select the 3 dots
- share
- paste into chat
given what happens it might also be some sort of crosstalk. i do faintly remember we had a similar issue where some keys had a very dim red(?) light still even if set to black in wootility
from what i recall of this issue where the leds are off but some leds have a very faint colour
60HE - back in early 2024 (esc)
80HE - on release (r-arrow)
always assumed firmware related.
idk if it was firmware. from what i recall (but its long ago) it was some hardware thing
Hello im just waking up here it go the code its e5de81f523ef396b77e56d92f650ce8f40d0
Can't seem to replicate it with the profile, but just to check—if you raise the brightness slightly, dose the blue/green LEDs turn on? It may be that the LED itself isn’t turning on until it reaches a high enough brightness value
It turn on when the bar is on, the only color when it does not its in blue, now narrow it down to this, seems like from the right to left the 5th led make it on when i change it
4eb187c4e1652078013c7ada231c6363a75c
Replicate it with me here is more easy steps
Go to light indicator
Active effect: capslock indicator
Effect parameter and just change the colour and juggle the light from led slots
I think this may be unique to you as I can't replicate this, and from the listed LEDs and how these are connected, seems to related so possible
For reference, the LEDs are connected in a matrix, so they are grouped together in rows
(Rough example image of how a row of leds are connected)
How can i fix it myself? Bought the keyboard like 2 month ago and wanted to start personalize it to my own liking
Its only in that right key, the others left and down does not light on
Just to check, how bright is the LED? I assume the LED should be very dim, so once the switch/keycap is installed, this may not be noticeable to any degree (unless maybe in a very dark room)
Yeah is dim and not noticeable but i have the worry that this led is gonna burn faster than other, and sometimes i do play in total darkness
I did put in "cycle" the bar and it do this
HI again.
we (MAY) have a fix for this issue if you wish to give this a try i will include instruction below - please keep us informed if this resolves the problem
- Use this link https://beta.wootility.io/?test-builds=true (this URL has Test builds enabled)
- Click on "Settings"
- Select "Updates"
- Select "Your keyboard"
- Press "Get Test Firmware"
- Press "Select Test Build"
- Select "v2.11.0+anti-led-ghosting"
Wow it does actually work, but now i have an downgraded keyboard software, the website of wooting tell me to update it
This test build is based on the latest stable build just some miner tweaks to LED controller
The update notification is there to provide an easy way to revert to stable If needed
(otherwise, if it’s already on the latest version, the only method would be to perform a restore, which resets profiles).
So if you’re fine with ignoring that notification, there are no differences.
Well it have been a short time and i did get some errors with the left shift i had to update it to the normal version, i will wait till it is fully fix
What happened with left shift?
it started to tap when it was fully press, reflashed it again to beta one again and is working fine atm
