Are the new switch facing the same direction (north iirc) or are they gonna be the opposite direction (which would be south) so we can use different types of keycaps that we couldn't use before?

You can reverse the orientation to be south. Just means the RGB won't shine through.

And i was bought north facing keycaps a while ago because i heard the switches were made north faced

The lights comes from the pcb, not the switches right? Forget that then, it's still the same issue overall
