Hi
So i got the keyboard (80he), it was working perfectly on my old laptop that died.

When it died, i switched to an older laptop that i had, and from there the keyboard kept disconnecting / reconnecting quickly really often, but i continued as it was sometimes working fine for hours.

But today, it disconnected, but didn't reconnect and just feel as dead as my other laptop. Whatever the port, USB C, normal USB, it doesn't turn on / work, Windows can't see it
Anyone has an idea ? Should i have stopped and i killed it ?

Can you check the JST cable inside the keyboard to rule out it being the cause of the problem?

  1. Unscrew all the screws on the bottom of the case (you'll need PH1 screwdriver)
  2. Remove the top case
  3. Lift the module
  4. Push both ends of the JST cable into the PCB/USB daughterboard connectors
  5. Reassemble the keyboard and check if it’s recognized by the PC

Actually nevermind it work again, but it will probably still disconnect sometimes. Can you just tell me if those disconnecting / reconnecting thing can damage it ? And i think the problem is due to my laptop... It worked perfectly on another laptop but this one just has sometimes this problem. And it's only with the wooting, other keyboard doesn't do this

As I said, you need to check the JST cable inside the keyboard, as it might be loose and causing a constant disconnect/reconnect issue.

Follow the steps, also I shared disassemble/assemble guides by Wooting above.

Other keyboards work because they require less power than the Wooting. Your laptop probably isn’t supplying enough power for it to work properly. Try reducing the RGB brightness to 0%.
